It was in 1919 when the Hobart Manufacturing Company launched Kitchenaid to the market. This brand name was designated to the company’s first electric stand mixer. This mixer was originally the brainchild of Troy Metal Products which is a subsidiary of Hobart Manufacturing Company. This mixer was designed specifically for quick mixing of large quantity for baking or cooking ingredients. To do this, the principle of planetary motion was employed. In this principle, the rotating beater, following one direction, travels circularly inside the mixing bowl.

With the launching of Kitchenaid, this electric stand mixer quickly gained popularity particularly in the 1920s to 1930s. Due to this mixer’s increasing demand in the market, numerous models were created. One of these was the kitchenaid Artisan mixer.

Aside from this electric stand mixer, kitchenaid is also popular for their other products like waffle makers, blenders, microwave oven, food processors, toasters, coffee makers, hand mixers, and immersion blenders.
