Love My Job

The voice over casting jobs that I have gotten from your website have really been fun and I can’t always say that about the jobs I have had in the past. In the past my job history has been an odd one. One job I had was working in a nursing home and I loved the people, but the actual work that I had to do was not fun. But now that I am doing this great work in voice over I don’t have to worry about having those odd jobs. My sister is a nurse and she is always looking for me to become a nurse too, but after I told her about how great my career has been going in the voice over business she has finally stopped trying to talk me into going to nursing school. I know she is my big sister and she is just trying to look out for me. But now I have a great life and a great career.

Working Extras Needed

Think becoming a professional working model is the only way to make it in the entertainment industry? Well, think again!

Becoming a movie extra is one of the best ways to make your name known in the entertainment world. Also, it’s a lot easier than taking a shot at a career as a movie extra because the roles call for a much larger variety than those of modeling jobs. And, with jobs as a movie extra you’ll have a better chance to meet your favorite actors and actresses!

Getting in contact with clients and directors for movie extra jobs may seem like hard work but it’s much simpler than you may think. Start out local, checking websites like craigslist and your local newspaper for any information on available castings in the area. Once you get the hang of that, start branching out and go from there. The possibilities are endless!

Cartoons Are a Hit Around Here

When I was a kid I would get up really early on a Saturday morning to watch cartoons with my siblings. Even though we didnt have to go to school it was still worth the lack of sleep to enjoy our favorite animated characters tell jokes and stories. Now that I’m an adult, I love to sit down and watch a cartoon with my kids. I have to admit that theyve gotten a lot better since I watched them twenty years ago. The voiceover seems to line up with the animation a lot better and everything is done digitally nowadays. I’ve tried showing my kids some of the cartoons I used to watch when I was their age and so far its been hit and miss. They enjoy some of the shows and couldn’t care less about the others. Oh well. As long as we get to have something in common then I’m happy.

How to Become a Confident Public Speaker

Public speaking is many peoples worst fear. However, in some jobs there just is no choice, the occassion will come sooner or later and it’s really just a matter of how prepared you are. Whether its at an office meeting or in front of an auditorium, speaking in front of a group of people can be simply terrifying. So, what can you do to prepare yourself so you present well and exude confidence? Remember, if you are acting nervous, the material you are trying to present won’t have the impact you want it to.

Many people are taking acting workshops to prepare themselves for public speaking. Acting can be a great way to learn to project confiedence and become grounded in the material you are presenting. A short term Los Angeles acting workshop may be all you need to learn some basic skills. Workshops (as opposed to ongoing classes) can be taken over a weekend or on weeknights and generally run for a month or less.
